MCA Middle School Programs

Students in our Middle School score consistently anywhere from two to three years above the national norms on the yearly Stanford Achievement Test. They rank in the top 10% of our State.

  • 10-15 students per class.
  • Biblical principles are interwoven throughout the curriculum.
  • Weekly chapels and class devotionals enhance the students’ growth in spiritual matters. Personal accountability and responsibility are emphasized.
  • Discipline is more aligned with the developmental characteristics of the adolescent. There is a strong emphasis on teacher counseling.

The Middle School students have unique needs that make them different from elementary children and high school students. Our program is designed to meet the emotional, social, spiritual and physical needs of the pre-adolescent. We give a separate identity to these young people by giving them a special school organization. Most authorities agree that the adolescent is primarily concerned with emotional-social needs.

The Middle School schedule allows teachers the freedom to address the individual differences of students with average to above average ability. Study and research skills are emphasized. The program emphasizes spiritual precepts, character building, and skills/concepts necessary to academic advancement as well as the expanding Fine Arts opportunities. The school day consists of a Bible class, four academic courses (Math, Science, History, and English), Physical Education and one elective. Electives offered based on student need are: Chorus, Drama, Hand Bells, Chimes, Art, Introduction to Computers, and Student Government.
