Academics at MCA
All education takes place within some philosophical framework. For the Christian, that framework is found in the Bible.
A truly Christian philosophy of education must find its starting point in the Scriptures. At Maranatha, the educational process is expressed by means of three distinct building blocks:
- Biblical Philosophy, the foundation
- Biblical Values System, the beliefs
- Biblically directed Lifestyle, the Christian walk.
Educational Objectives
It is the administration’s desire to have a balanced educational program where excellence permeates the spiritual, academic, physical, and social aspects of the learning process. It is also the school’s intent, when possible, to help in the reinforcement of the Christian values taught at home. When the philosophy, values, and lifestyle of a Christian home complements the school, the student benefits most from that union.
Opportunities for parental involvement at MCA are numerous. The school encourages all parents to take advantage of volunteer opportunities that currently exist on campus in both classrooms and in our extra-curricular programs. We are “parent friendly” and always open to your ideas about how to keep our school the best in the area.
