The Academy has been blessed with a strong Art Department that has produced winners at the national, state and local levels. Several works have received national recognition.

MCA plays, drama and/or speeches are often incorporated within our music programs. Our upper elementary through high school students have the opportunity to compete each year in various drama/speech categories at the GACS Fine Arts Competition.

Each spring our MS/HS students participate in a “Shakespeare Boot Camp” where we partner with Alpha Kappa Players to present a Shakespeare play. Our students work diligently for 2 weeks to produce every aspect of the play, which includes: lighting and sound, costume, set building and designing, stage make-up, props, acting and directing. It is a highlight to our school year, and the students anxiously anticipate this time. High school students receive a ½ credit for their participation.

MCA offers private music lessons for its students. Choir is also offered with practices being held one day per week. More information about these offerings will be announced at the beginning of each school year. The growing and expanding Music program provides students with many avenues to exercise their talents and God-given abilities, including: instrumental and vocal solos, duets and ensembles, hand bells, chimes and choir.
